Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

At Falla Park Primary School, we seek to promote a safe, caring, secure and positive environment, in which all children are happy, can develop and grow, to ensure effective learning takes place.

All pupils have the right to a high quality education and as such we are committed to offering an inclusive curriculum tailored to individual needs to ensure the best possible progress for all pupils. All our pupils follow the National Curriculum, working at a level and pace that is appropriate to their abilities. Teaching in all classes is tailored to meet the individual needs of the pupils providing them with enriching, engaging learning opportunities.

We do this by ensuring;

  • A range of teaching and learning styles
  • All work is differentiated appropriately
  • Access to ICT where required
  • Additional adult support in class
  • Interventions – additional support out of class
  • Broad and balanced curriculum, including the children’s interests and experiences
  • Access to the school’s counsellor
  • Following specific advice from outside agencies e.g. Speech and Language, Educational Psychology, etc.

If you would like to discuss your SEND requirements in detail please contact the school to arrange an appointment.
